We give the largest discounts in the industry.
For instance; Our cover upgrade is the highest level of construction today in an upgraded cover. It is a 2 pound density foam; eight locking tie-downs for safety and wind; 5 inch split skirt so the acrylic doesn't bake; the highest grade of marine vinyl; 4 inch to 2 inch tapered runoff ; galvanized steel inserted channel for strength; zippered shell so you can remove the core; all high tensile strength stitching; gazebo handles so you can operate the cover from inside the spa. It is a $499.00 cover and with the package it is $366.75 (27% discount) including shipping. In my opinion from all the research I do, it is the best value for your hard earned money. There are better covers, but they are not *that* much better for the extra cost. With care it will last 7 to 10 years.
All the other items are greatly discounted along with the spa. You save between 300 to 600 just on the basic accessories.
When you go into most spa stores, the "concept" is this: (This was told to me by someone with 16 yr. in the business)
The idea is to sell the spa with a minimal package and the most profit. The novice spa customers have no idea what they need or want with the spa, because they are relying on the spa salesperson to tell them. So to get the most profit, you sell the average spa for $5000 with a cheaper cover, startup kit ( that lasts about a week ),( The video saves the salesman from having to know anything about water chemistry, supposedly), maybe a cheap ozonator and delivery. (If you want that we can offer it that way, but still at a much greater discount)
Some companies just set the spa down and leave.
So after you assemble the spa fill it and get it going, in about a week you are out of chemicals. (There is always one chemical set to last one week). This forces you back into the store to get the "rest of the spa".
After you see the cover lift, the steps, the thermal blanket, the ionizer, and whatever else was left off, you pay full retail and full cost for any labor or go away. The upgraded cover comes in about two years after the lightweight one wears out.
This is what the expert told me: "The customer's wallet is open to you, and you have developed a level of trust, so when they come in it is easy to get the accessories sold at full retail."
When the new spa owner brags about his spa, he says " I got it for only $5000, and it was a good deal" (We put our basic package price on the list so you can compare.)
Except that he was about $2000 shy on the things he needs to make the spa work well. Sure you can go and buy each item on a special discount if you search and search to find the same prices.
There was a fellow who bought a Sundance spa two years ago and found my site after he purchased the spa. (Not a good idea to read my site then.) He wasted much of his waking hours trying to find something wrong with our deal. He came up with the Super Lift 2 for $199 at some internet store. Ours was, at that time $209. This included the installation of $48. So I wrote on the Bulletin Board: "Was that 199 including installation." That was the last time he gave me hell.
There is absolutely nothing in our accessories, services, and supplies that you do not need or really want. If there is any part you do not want, then take it off at the discounted price.
We started doing the absolute complete package when I sold a spa to a lady in Louisiana. She had a car accident and needed therapy for her knee really bad. Driving a car was painful for her and the ride to the nearest spa dealer was over 1 hour to pay full retail.
We decided that it is more important to have satisfied customers, rather than to make more money on the accessories and services. Since most of our customers are not likely to come into our store to buy accessories, because most of our customers are out of state, there really was no reason to limit the package.
When someone tells me that our prices are high, they need to understand the whole deal. The average dealer is making about $350 more on an inferior spa and $500 more on the accessories after the sale.
Most times we don't see or hear from out customers for 6 months, when they need some shock.
So when someone tells you that they got the deal of the century on some $7999 spa for 7395, you need to look at the whole deal.
