The spa is 87" X 87" x 38" high. There are seating positions for six people including one very comfortable lounger. The shell structure is made in a multiple layering fiberglass technique with no ABS plastic. There are two huge 56 frame motors rated at (2.5 continuous) 4 HP driving large 2 inch "wet end" pumps. Both water pumps are two speed. We have a strong (1.5 continuous) 2 PHP air pump driving 18 air jets. The entire top of the spa is flat, allowing full ergonomics when it comes to serving drinks. We have no loose filter top to slip out or get cracked. You can sit on the spa upper shell all you want. There are no diverter valves on this spa, making the water flow very smooth and strong.
In this photo you can see some of the main "hot seat". There are 17 Jets involved in this seat, plus the foot jet carousel. There are two neck jets fully adjustable, directional, and closely spaced to hit the muscles on your neck. There are two downward facing top of shoulder jets at the edge of the jet collar. Next are three fully adjustable cyclone jets. the nozzles are totally adjustable for degree of rotation as well as pressure and direction of rotation. These jets are fantastic! Next lower are two smaller jets that do the same thing. There is one large cyclone jet at the lumbar base area. This is a great pattern! There are two hip jets in the sides of the captains chair arm rests. At the top the the arm rest are two wrist jets. There are three air jets; one in the seat, and two at the lower back area; making the pulsating bubbles rise up your back. This feels great! The whole seat is designed to help you stay in place, while the therapy is on full blast.
The Springville has hip jets and wrist jets in the main "hot seat". The hip jets are a great feature.
Back when I studied holistic medicine, we found there was a correlation between leg stress an the tension in the hip joints. One of the pressure techniques use to alleviate that tension was to apply direct pressure to the hip joints. To make a long story shorter, it feels wonderful. Notice the large suction fittings on the walls of the foot well. This is something I have been dreaming about for years. Most spa designers do not understand the need for full water flow to the pumps. The size and power of the Springville pumps and all of the Haven Spas require a large volume of water. Other spas are way behind on this engineering. Other brands seem to be using the minimum size suctions necessary to keep the pumps from cavitating (free spinning) . When our spas run they sound like a finely tuned, well balanced, quiet machine. You can hear and feel the difference immediately when the jets are turned on, All you hear is the water, with very little equipment sounds. So much better!
The Haven Springville Spa hasbuilt in safety hand rails at both step in high seats. Not only is this a great feature, it is strong, good looking and rust proof. On the fiber optic option the hand rail is frosted and lighted at both ends, very pretty.
Looking at the upper rear of the Haven Springville Spa you can see how nicely finished the acrylic to wood is done. The spa is a "lip over" design. This makes it easy to thermal seal the cabinet, as well as giving less maintainence. The lip over design allows decking to be built right up to the spa, giving the built in look on a portable spa. The splash over water just drips down and does not collect on a top rail. ( The top rail designed spas also look nice and are easily maintained with a wood water proofing stain. ) You can see the wrist jet, hip jet, and the air jet seat in this photo. Lots of flat area on the upper spa for drinks and cups!
This is the foot well of the longe seat. There are three jets all medium sized adjustble and directional. The one jet facing upwards at about 45 degrees is a great calf jet. The newest version has full leg jets, see below. The two foot jets have very strong pressure, and fell great. While you are in any of the seats in this spa with the jets on, you will need some bracing. By placing you feet against the foot well, you can have the jets on full and not be pushed out of the seat. Notice the ozone jet and the thermostat probe. The temperature of the spa water is tested instead of the plumbing temperature. This is a very logical design. The light fixture, just above the lounge foot well, is set at the best height for illuminating the spa, and it is easy to replace the bulb from the equipmint compartment. It is "owner friendly".
The Springville has a beautiful redwood cabinet, finished with the highest quality redwood stains you can buy. The door is easily removed with one screws. We prefer to have a completely sealed cabinet to keep little children from gaining quick access to the voltage. Because all of the regular maintainence is acomplished from outside the cabinet, there is very little reason to have a sliiding door. The digital control pad can bee seen in this picture. It is fully programmable and has several features we like. You will also notice that there are no "diverter valves" on the top of the spa. If you read the Spa Buyers Questions and Answers, it is explained what a poor engineering concept those valves are. We have full flow to all the jets, instead of partial jet action. All of the jets can operate at the same time with full powerful jet pressure!!
The Haven Springville loung seat, gracefully sculptured and comfortable. The jet pattern is set so the top jet massages your body just below the neck; right in that area where tension from sitting at a desk or from operating a computer for long periods, causes pain. People who do hard physical labor, particularly lifing tools or boxes all day, really appreciate this massage. The jet is a cyclone style, fully adjustable, and can be set to any degree of rotation or straight if you want. There are 18 jets involved in this seat. the two mid sized jets are also fully adjustable and can be set for a varriety of rotational speeds and circular patterns. The lower cyclone jet hits your lumbar and upper sacrum area very well. This spa has more customized therapy than any spa I have ever seen. This is the theme throughout the Haven Spas.
The Springville foot well has a foot carousel with three fully adjustable directional jets. You can find a foot jet from any seat, and you can set on the edge of the lounge and dangle your ankles in front of the foot carousel. Notice the drain a the bottom of the well just below the right foot jet. This drain allows all of the water to be drained out of the spa. Many brands do not have this so that when those spas are drained, there is about two inches of old water remaining. The captains chair "hot seat" is in the lower right of the photograph. You can clearly see the adjustabgle and directional wrist jets. NICE!
Another view of the lounge seat. Notice the two air jets just left and right of the lower cyclone jet. The same pulsating bubbling action moving up your back are in this seat as in the other air jet seats. There are also two other air jets on your legs and knees. The air therapy is particularly suited for your legs. We call spas without air therapy "hot tubs", because they only have the one therapy. The water jets are for muscle tension and the air jet are for overall vitality and blood circulation. Because we know how to make spas, we have warm air in the air jets.
Another view of the Springville loung seat. Notice the awesome leg calf jets. There is a built-in arm rest in the wall. The head cushion is held in place by two pins in the shell; no suction cups that pop loose! On the lower center, just above the foot jets, are the ozone jet, and the thermowell. We put the ozone in with force and swirl it around in the water, by placing our thermal blanket on top, the ozone now has a chance to contact the water molecules and have duration. This is one of the best ways to get ozone in the water. I have heard every possible silly method you can imagine that people try as hard as possible to get ozone in with those tiny, worthless,24 hour circ pumps and it does not work in anyway close to this method. The thermowell is mounted so that the temperature of the water in the seating area is constantly monitered. This stops all the short cycling and erratic temperatures you get in other spas.
This is the most AWESOME therapy seat we at the Spa Specialist Inc. have ever seen or felt! With the increadible power and the adjustability, this seat can be customized to fill any therapy need. While you are in the neck/shoulder collar, the water is not sprayed out on all the other people in the spa and at the same time it is comfortable. The design of the seat, armrests and foot area allows you a comfortable mooring so you do not have to struggle to stay in the seat. Extremely well thought out! The seat cushion also stays put by the pins mounted in the shell, but pulls off easily for cleaning. Just WONDERFUL!!!!
This photo shows the skimmer and weir door of the Springville. There is an easy access to the filters, by lifting the face up and off. then the filters are unscrewed and lifted out. The compact design of the filters make this suction side fiter take up very little room.
A couple of detail photos of the lounge seat foot jets on the left and the equipment on the right. This is one of the most advanced, reliable, control systems you will find anywhere. NICE!
