The Shorewood spa is 83x83x36 inches. It has six seating positions. This is a photo of the "Gold" version with twin 4 HP pumps 33 water jets , 1.5 HP air with 18 air jets. (The Silver version has one 4 HP water pump and one air pump.)
As the Spa Specialist Spas evolve, we take the good features from our spas and start to combine them. The leg jet therapy in the Pinecove, and the Fallsburg has become the "must have" feature.
If you take the hot seat from the Glenwood, the six jet seat from the Fallsburg, the lounge from the Glenwood, the foot jets from the Riverdale and the leg jets from the Pinecove, you have a wonderful spa. The jet patterns we have started with are still the best in my opinion, so we carry those designs in all the main models. In between the "hot seats" are single water and multiple air jet seats.
This spa is a perfect compliment to the New Glenwood. The Shorewood spa is a more "open seated" style of spa. The Shorewood is in our Vista series of mid range spas. It actually is a high end spa and should be compared to the competition's high end.
This is a real therapy seat. It has all of the features that we carry throughout the spa line.
The above water "neck / shoulder blaster" jets are wonderful after a day "at work". The recess where you head is positioned helps to keep the spray confined. After you are finished with the neck and shoulder massage you can simply turn off the jets. This seat is full of pulsating massaging action. There are also three air jets to pulsate your back and front. The upper handle is an air control to adjust the felt intensity of the jets. Most of our spas, as is the Shorewood, are very strong in therapy jet pressure, so as you get used to the intensity, you may need to reduce the intensity for your introduction to Haven spas.
Here you can see the "six jet seat". There is actually six water and three air jets. This is a carry over from the new Glenwood, Fallsburg and Pinecove. With this seat you can reach areas of your back and sides that other spas can't quite reach. there are four cyclone jets standard, but you can switch them to other styles. Like all of our spas , the majority of the jets are adjustable and interchangeable (and powerful), so you can have the spa "you way". The acrylic hand rail is tough and gives you a nice hand hold when you need it.
This lounge, like all of the Haven lounges, is anti flotation in design. It is interesting that this design isn't copied more, because it works great! There is a reverse molded arm rest and a built in heat cushion. To make an anti flotation lounge, the back must not lay back too far, the seat is lowered and the legs are elevated. This keeps the focus of the users body weight in the seat. This works for more people than any other style of seat. There is a combination of water and air jets in this spa making for full therapy. Many of the other spa companies short cut the spa cost by not having air jets. We call spas without air "hot tubs" because they lack full therapy.
The Haven Shorewood's leg jets. This feature started on the Pinecove, then to the Fallsburg spa. It is in high demand, because it really gives a great leg, calf and foot jet massage. With each generation of spas, we adapt and adjust the designs based upon what our customers want. For instance, most of our customers that we randomly polled said they never or seldom use a whirl pool jet, so we only offer it as an option. With the advent of modern spa pumps the therapy that only a whirlpool jet gave is no longer that useful.
The Haven Shorewood's foot well. I have a serious aversion the those mounds that some spas companies put in their spas, you may have seen them. They destroy the foot well space, make the spa more dangerous, because people trip on the mounds. As far as I am concerned there is no reason for foot well jet mounds. Why would you want to walk "like a duck" while going from one seat to the next. By placing the foot jets along the wall of the foot well, you get all the foot jet action you need without having something to trip over. Notice the 100% drain at the bottom of the spa. There are three large 200 GPM/ UL /NSPI anti-vortec safety suction fittings in this spa to accommodate the twin 4 HP (2.5 continuous horsepower) pumps.
